It is with great pride that we are able to offer Justicia, a medium-darkcertified organic coffee from the CCDA organization in Guatemala. Unlike Fair Trade certified co-ops, the CCDA chooses not to pay into the FLO system, seeking out routes of direct trade instead. One such route is the BC CASA, a non-profit organization based in Vancouver that focuses on human rights and social justice in Guatemala. By purchasing this coffee through the BC CASA, Oso Negro is able to directly support fine coffee and social justice both at home and in Guatemala. We hope to do more of this in the future! For more information, please contact us, visit www.cafejusticia.ca. We hope that you appreciate the cause while enjoying the coffee!
A complicated mixture of coffees from around the world, the Purcell Blend produces many layers in the cup. Neutral Central and South American beans, an earthy fusion of Sulawesi and Sumatra, and sweet, fruity coffee from Ethiopia create notes of cacao and chocolate butter cake.
A rich combination of exotic coffees from East Africa, the Heart of Darkness Blend delivers a taste of chocolate with slightly fruity and floral notes. Sweet, fruity Ethiopian roasts pair well with intense, exotic beans from Uganda.
